Beautifully varnished copy of a Giovanni Battista Guadagnini violin. This fine violin is a shop model that was started overseas with well-aged spruce and maple, then hand-finished in the USA. It has undergone a re-graduation process to more carefully tune the top and back plates and bass bar to refine the sound of the violin. After assembly, the instrument was hand-varnished with a high-quality oil varnish in the Italian style. Slow and careful application has resulted in a beautiful, transparent, golden Cremonese-style varnish with a nice patina.

The violin has undergone a full setup with beautiful ebony fittings, including heart-shaped pegs and a harp style tailpiece. It is currently set up with Thomastik Rondo strings for a bold and responsive sound. Tonally, this violin is even across all registers and has a very powerful upper register.
