For those of you who know the Strat and Tele. this will look and feel like familiar territory an old friend. Where things change up are the electronics. Here we have the classic 3 single coil pick-ups with a 5 way switch, Master Volume and Tone and then the fun begins.with an On/Off switch for the Middle Pick UpThe 5 way is set up to give the following selection (switch off and 1 being towards the neck)- Neck
– Neck and Bridge (Parallel)
– Bridge
– Bridge with a shelf filter (think cocked wah)
– Neck and Bridge (Series Humbucker)
This is where it gets interesting using the on off switch to bring in the Middle Pick Up. Switch it on and you get:
– Neck + Middle
– Neck, Middle + Bridge (Parallel)
– Bridge + Middle (Knopfler territory)
– Bridge with a shelf filter (think cocked wah) + Middle (thickens it up and adds articulation)
– Neck and Bridge (Series Humbucker) + Middle
