Gustave Bernardel (1832-1904) was a French violin maker who developed his own formula for rosin. This rosin is still being produced to the original specifications it is handmade from the galipot (first sap of the tree) of high quality selected pine trees.

It is a light coloured medium sticky rosin for smooth playing and a clean, bright tone.It comes in a round cake attached to a protective suedette cloth in a velvety material pouch.
