This Gio Paolo Maggini Copy, made in 2019 in Guangzhou violin features some really choice tone woods. The highly flamed one piece maple back, neck, and sides really stand out. The beautifully inlaid purfling designs on the back and double purfling on the top are typical of the Maggini style of violins. The arching is typically broad in the Maggini style and helps get this violin a really nice lower register with good depth to the tone. It has a lot of volume on tap as well. It’s setup with snakewood fittings and a well carved Aubert Deluxe Bridge. This violin would be a great choice for someone who wants a violin that’s as nice to look at as it is sounding.
