The violin labelled Friedrich August Heberlein is a nice Guarneri copy made in 1908. it has a two piece flamed back and even grained spruce top. The violin is overall in great condition with just a couple small cosmetic issues like a chipped corner and a small chip from the scroll but is in remarkably good condition with no signs of any previous cracks. This violin has a typical warm and deep Guarneri model sound with rich overtones and a singing upper register. The dark varnish really matches the rosewood fittings which makes for a violin that looks as good as it sounds. This violin would be well suited for and advanced player or budding professional.
