This Hofner Violin Bass HCT-500/1-BK features a semi-hollow body with a sustain block for the modern, deep-resonating bass sound, fitted with Hfner staple pickups.

Body: Spruce top with Flame Maple back and sides in a matte Black finish.

Neck: Maple/Beech/Maple with a Jatoba fingerboard, 30 scale length, 1.65 nut width, 22 frets, pearl dot inlays.

Pickups/Hardware: Hofner staple pickups, nickel tuning keys, Ebony bridge, black plastic knobs, plastic nut.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent shape. It has light surface scratches and small indentations on the body. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has light buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in great shape with no major grooves or divots from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fretboard with no dead spots or choking out.
