This 2023 Martin Custom Shop 00-12 Sinker Mahogany has a nicely book-matched European Spruce top and Sinker Mahogany back and sides. Sinker Mahogany is salvaged from a riverbed in Belize or other South American spot, and it shows beautiful figure on the back and sides. This Mahogany tree would’ve grown in natural, old-growth forest long before industrialization hit Central America.

Body: Alpine Spruce with Sinker Mahogany back and sides in natural gloss finish.

Neck:Mahogany with a Ebony fingerboard, 24.9 scale length, 1.75 nut width, 20 frets, Mother of Pearl dot inlays.

Hardware: Grover StaTite 18:1 tuning keys, Ebony bridge, bone nut.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has very light surface scratches on the body. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has very light buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable.
