Summary: This Yamaha FGX5 recalls the companys now-legendary 1960s-era Nippon Gakki Red Label acoustic guitars. A solid Sitka spruce top and solid mahogany body yield maximum resonance and tone, which are further enhanced by Yamahas A.R.E. wood torrefication process. Updated scalloped bracing ensures a louder, more balanced tone. A bone nut and saddle augment the guitars tone, giving it a loud, clear voice. Atmosfeel electronics, a classic V-shaped headstock and eye-catching semi-gloss finish complete the Red Label FGX5.
Body: Sitka Spruce top,Mahogany back and sides in a Natural semi-gloss finish.
Neck: Mahogany with a Ebony fingerboard, 25 scale length, 1.75 nut width, 20 frets, pearl dot inlays.
Pickups/Hardware: Atmosfeel electronics, Gotoh Open-gear tuning keys, Ebony bridge, bone saddle and nut.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has the lightest wear a used guitar can have on the body. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable.
